About Us

John Beasley D.C.
Dr. John (as he is called by his patients) and I do more than the actual “hands on” work with patients. We seek to develop a long term relationship with people to support them in making positive changes in their lifestyle where they desire. We feel that learning the skills and gaining the cognitive information to make appropriate incremental changes is the most important element of improving health and creating balance in people’s lives. The benefits of Therapeutic Massage and Chiropractic care become an essential resource in this process, providing relief of acute musculoskeletal episodes as well as helping people make changes to alleviate stress and relieve pain caused by chronic symptoms. Right along with the realizations of body positions or repetitive stresses comes the counterpoint of the emotional often overlaying and creating holding patterns eventually promoting ill health, pain etc. Next we often hear of the changes in the way patients relate to their past stressors or people with growing awareness, lives change with ease and we get to watch health restoring vitality and purpose.

John W. Beasley, D.C. has been a practicing Doctor of Chiropractic since 1980. His style of practice is relaxed and personal with a definite “low pressure” approach. He does not like “patient management,” and prefers to let patients decide when and how they want to utilize Chiropractic care as a resource in their lives. The patient centered approach provides them with information and recommendations guided by his 30 yeas of experience while letting the patient decide on their own course of care with no coercion or pressure. He has modified traditional Chiropractic adjusting techniques to provide an experience which includes pre-adjustment conditioning (heat and soft tissue techniques) followed by manual mobilization and manipulation techniques where indicated. When comparing his adjusting technique force level with the range of Chiropractic techniques, he has been described by some patients as being to the “gentle side of middle.”

In addition to actual Chiropractic treatment, Dr. John (as he is called by his patients) offers advice and recommendations regarding the basic elements of a healthy lifestyle, which include exercise, nutrition, adequate rest, and the state of mind/body integration. He seeks to help people who are wanting to build a healthier lifestyle to get past the inertia and resistance that can block such changes by giving practical suggestions for making small initial changes. His application of Chiropractic treatment has helped patients with both acute and chronic pain patterns that originate from dysfunctional spinal bio-mechanics. Patients who are not suffering from acute or chronic pain problems utilize Chiropractic as well as Massage Therapy as a means to support the general health of the body by taking advantage of the linkage of structure and function. The cost of Chiropractic care is always a consideration for people in today’s economic environment. At Majestic Body Chiropractic and Massage Therapy, patients will not see a receptionist and their calls are answered by voice mail. By lowering overhead and keeping the office simple, Chiropractic care can be offered at lower rates for time spent. Treatment time averages 20 minutes and the fees range from $30 to $40 depending on the frequency of care. The initial examination and treatment costs $75. Dr. John is in the office Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and is out of the office on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Shanti LMT , Member of AMTA

This is combined with Therapeutic Massage where indicated or desired. She is a Reiki Master and possesses proficiency in a number of other energetic healing techniques.. Shanti’s work is often described as “very deep therapeutic massage with a gentle approach to the body.” Her work helps improve biomechanical function by assessing postural anomalies, gait dysfunction and muscular imbalances. In addition, she has helped patients with chronic pain, recovery from acute injuries, improvement of structural awareness in their bodies, and the enhancement of their relaxation response. She collaborates with local health care professionals and is available for corporate and organizational events where she offers onsite chair massage. She also facilitates group Breathwork events. Her healing sessions are offered by appointment. The fee for one hour is seventy dollars. She offers 30 minute sessions for $40 and has availability both during the week and on weekends. “Lisa Price (Shanti) brings her life long experience as a dancer and musician to the massage table. Only those who have been on the stage, in my opinion, can really understand where the tension hides, how to release it and how to give advice in preparation for the next show. Though she has great physical strength in her hands, her intense passion and expertise includes Regenerative Breathwork. This combination definitely sets her apart from the many Massage Therapists I have encountered in my thirty years as an entertainer. Her hands help you find yourself among the tangled web of stored tensions that are specific and unique to a life lived on stage.” Jeff Mosier, Atlanta, Ga, Blueground Undergrass, January 11, 2010

“Lisa’s skill and competency is remarkable. She brings a warm personal manner to her patients as well as a high level of clinical skills. Her work as a Licensed Massage Therapist has helped many people to feel healthier, more in balance in their bodies and less stressed in their day to day life.” John W. Beasley, D.C
